In the Spring of 2003, the student and faculty leadership of UMTV came together to better organize the School of Communication's television channel. From these efforts, an executive board was established to oversee the operation of UMTV. The board is made up of the Director of Broadcast Opertions, the Faculty Advisors, the Student Executive Producers as well as group of student officers ranging from a Student Station Manager to a Promotions Coordinator and many others.
This Executive Board aims to continue and further UMTV's commitment to excellence, coordinate UMTV shows, create a campus media presence, and bring student leaders into the decision making process. The E-Board is a forum for discussion among UMTV leaders who collectively work to accomplish semester goals. The Executive Board is also charged with determining which new show proposals become pilots and which pilots are ready for production.
