"In some ways UMTV was more important than the classroom. It helped us apply the classroom lectures to the "real world" of television. It allowed us to have practice, see what works/ didn't work, and make mistakes. UMTV also served as a valuable resume builder and place to make a demo reel. The station also served as a bonding place for the COM majors to come together, use their education, and create television."
