"UMTV was the only TV news experience I could cite on my resume and it made all the difference when my interviewer asked what experience I had in the field of tv news. As a college student, it's not realistic to obtain a job in a general market tv news operation without experience. I don't believe I would have obtained my internship at WTVJ (which led to my first job in TV news), without having this experience on my resume."
