"I learned more from my experiences at UMTV than I ever did in any of my classes at the University of Miami. In the journalism industry, you can only learn so much in a classroom. There is no replacement for actually working on news shows. There needs to be a place for students to get real world experience. The Broadcast industry is unlike any other, and the hands on experience I received volunteering on multiple shows left me better prepared than any of my colleagues at my first job."
