From Florida’s proposed end to vaccine mandates and a growing peacock population in Coconut Grove, to an NBA gambling scandal, student voter turnout, nightlife dress code discrimination, and the occupational cancer risks faced by firefighters, the program examines the people, policies, and tensions behind today’s headlines.
Produced over the course of the Fall 2025 semester, this show showcases original reporting, studio production, and field packages that reflect storytelling, technical execution, and newsroom collaboration. The episode demonstrates students’ readiness for professional, weekly news production and serves as a strong portfolio piece for both on-air and behind-the-scenes roles.
